My name is Nazanin Ebadi. I studied graphic design and had always a major interest on handicrafts. I have been designing and making jewelries since 212. Even though I am based in Berlin it’s important to me to keep a contact with the cultural roots of my origin, Iran. The basic concept of my works are all originated from motifs rooted in Persian Culture, especially those of Persian architecture. The motifs are modernized or minimalized based on the potentials of each concept or scheme and therefore they are characterized by an exceptional appearance. The triangle, which has been the principal plot for many architectural ornaments, greatly astonishes me. By the use of triangle, I design jewelries which are either modern and considerably minimal or detailed and deeply affected by common ornaments in Persian architecture. The most substantial materials used in my collections are Swarovski’s stones, crystals and pearls, Toho’s pearls (which are the finest and tiniest pearls) and silver. The silver comes from Tehran, Iran, and the rest of materials are mostly provided from Swarovski’s official stores in Germany. The sparkle of Swarovski’s crystals creates an impressive appearance to the jewelries. Also for earrings’ hooks, Silver is always the primary choice.
